Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the post of JRF under a research project funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India:
Title of Research Project: Interaction of beta amyloid peptide and a model peptide with metals having potential roles in pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease
1. Junior Research Fellow
Minimum Qualification: 1st class M. Sc degree in Chemistry (Physical or Inorganic Chemistry) from a recognized University/Institute with NET (CSIR/UGC) / NET (LS) / GATE. Prior experience in peptide/protein handling is highly desirable. Exposure to fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism, FT-IR is an added advantage.
Salary: Rs 16,000/- pm (consolidated) + HRA (as applicable)
Duration: One year (can be extended upto another year subject to satisfactory performance)
Age Limit: Should not have completed 28 years of age on December 31, 2011.
